Hi all, it’s Maddie here. I wanted to make a small post on my perspective on how marble hunting and hiding works, so here it is!
To start with, it feels like a fun game of hide-and-seek, but with art glass. It’s definitely a lot of fun trying to find clever spots around Branson and the rest of the nation to hide marbles, along with trying to find them. Start at Facebook "World's Elite Marble Hunt' and ask to Join the group (with an adult - and read the rules...) This is where you find clues as well as a picture and note about the marble being hidden.
When we were hiding our marbles, I had a lot of laughs and entertainment while we did it. My mom and I started off by hiding marbles easily, and then our hides got harder and harder. Our first marble was near a local mural, and it was right out in the open. Our last hide was hidden behind a dog walk sign. Just that shows how we had more experience with us throughout our fun, which I personally think is pretty cool.
The community was super awesome. While I was hunting, I came across so many passionate and awesome people. We all shot smiles at each other as we acknowledged that we were both hunting for the same marble, friendly competition in the air. Everyone was so diverse and unique, yet all so similar and friendly at the same time. It was truly an awesome community.
To sum it up, I’d say that I would definitely recommend the great marble hunt. It’s fun, friendly, and the community is amazing. I wanted to say thank you to anyone who will be or did join in on the fun, and thank you to everyone at the Branson Marble Festival. Bye for now!
